Multi-award winning Gigi Gao's Favourite Authentic Chinese restaurant has been at the forefront of Chinese cuisine in Swansea since its establishment in 2014.
Having moved to Swansea Marina in 2017/18, Gigi has single-handedly brought her own unique style to the restaurant and to the Northern Chinese cuisine which she serves. An advocate of healthy eating and healthy life Gigi insists on cooking without MSG (mono sodium glutamate) and she has devised a special Vegan menu to entice all vegans and vegetarians, to go alongside an array dishes for omnivores.
In 2018 the restaurant achieved the first of many prestigious awards:
- Best Oriental Restaurant in Wales at The Golden Chopsticks Awards 2018, (considered to be the Oscars of the oriental culinary world, headed by Gok Wan and Chef Ken Hom)
- Finalist – Best Oriental Restaurant in Wales at the Golden Chopsticks Awards 2019
- Best Chinese in Wales – Asian Restaurant of the Year 2018
